This open ride-matching system is for the use of UTM students, staff and faculty to aid them in forming carpools and ridesharing. UTM is actively supporting more environmentally and economically sustainable forms of transportation. Carpooling and ridesharing offers financial and mental health benefits, since individuals share the costs and stress of driving. It's simple to use. Carpooling to UTM is just a click away, register on-line, it's free! (You must have an email ending in utoronto.ca)
Need some help?
We do not share or sell our user lists to anyone. Your email address is only revealed to commuters whom you decide to email. If you receive an email through the website from someone who wants to carpool*, it's up to you to respond to determine compatibility. Accurate matching is a snap We use a precision geocoded addressing for the most accurate matching possible. Search options let you decide how flexible you are in distance, driving times, and other preferences. CARPOOL vs. RIDESHARE Registering for the carpool program provides you with the privilege of parking in a preferred, reserved parking space. In addition, you receive complementary parking vouchers for those days when you cannot carpool. And, in the case of emergencies, you can make use of the Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program (subject to eligibility). If you would still like to save money and participate in reducing the number of cars on campus, but do not qualify to register for UTM's carpool program, we encourage you to try ridesharing using the same web based ride matching tool as carpooling. Ridesharing is the casual, occasional sharing of rides. If you would like to participate in ridesharing, please also register with the UTM Parking and Transportation Office. |
